"Miss Mabel" (Clorinda's Mother) |
|
Jasmine Poitier |
Jasmine Poitier is formerly from Cape Cod, Massachusetts where
she was raised in the small town of Mashpee. In 1973 she studied Drama at the Elma Lewis School of Fine Arts in
Boston Massachusetts and was a member of the National Center for Afro American ArtistsTheatre Company for a season.
Currently she resides in Los Angeles and is President of African Diasporan Development, a non-profit organization that hosts
the "Tribute to the Holy Spirit" Ghana, West Africa tour and festival every year. This tour is bringing to light
the presence of God in the midst of cultural restoration and social consciousness using travel and entertainment.
Jasmine's demeanor is of a gentle spirit, yet, when she's on stage, she really can "act-up"
and deliver a power character with zeal and life. We are so blessed to have her join our cast.
