|Arlonda "Londa" Washington
Arlonda was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey.
In 1991 she relocated to Newnan, GA with her mother. She then obtained a bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Media Arts
from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Ga. Upon graduating from Clark, she remained in the Atlanta area for a year
to further persue her dream in Production. She later relocated back to New York. There she joined the Duality
Playhouse working as the Light and Soundboard Operator. She worked in numerous off Broadway plays, one in particular,
received outstanding reviews by an Italian newspaper called "Oggio" for production of "We Won't Pay, We Won't Pay".
While still in New York, she began to work on music videos and film projects as a Production Assistant (PA), and other various
In October of 1998, she relocated to Southern California in search of getting into the
production world. Since her arrival, she has worked on several Independent films. Arlonda would say that one of
her most challenging positions was while working on the film "Punks", done under the production company of E2 Filmworks, a
division of Edmonds Entertainment. It allowed her to stretch herself, first as a 2nd Assistant Director among wearing
many other hats. Arlonda then decided to start creating and writing her own ideas. Her first short entitled
"That's the Way Love Goes". It was the spark that ignited her love for writing. She is currently writing a TV
sitcom that she hopes to start production on in the very near future. She is excited to be apart of the production
of "You Better Check Yourself". We are blessed to have Arlonda's persistence
and zeal for the craft. She extends a second sight to the scenes and an eagle eye for spotting correction.
Arlonda is the Director's Assistant/Stage Manager for "You Better Check Yourself". Which
will be Premiering Friday, October 18th, 2002.
